Since I was a child, life taught me you can be whatever you want to be, you just have to work hard on it.
I’m Syrian, born and raised in Damascus since March 21st 1997. I left Damascus in 2015 to come to Istanbul, not only because of the war, but also to start a new journey in my life, to build all the big things I had in mind.
I used to work as a Full-Stack Developer for quite a time, then I shifted to User Interface (UI) design. I don’t really know why actually, but I found myself better here, more challenging maybe.
In 2014, I began to work on my personal projects. I started a small development studio ‘Yaqut Lab’ with my friend Araby Alhomsi. It was a side-project while working as an employee in several companies.
In 2016, fed up with my daily routine made of same companies and same boring people, I felt I was not at the place I wanted to be, so I left this job. I started to work on my biggest project so far: Liliom.
On November 2nd 2017, I met the coolest person in the world: Mohamed Kawsara. He was like me, doing a lot of great things with his own company, but both of us missed a little something. That’s why we decided to become partners under one name, to make things move faster and better.
Liliom started as a 1-person company and today, we are 13, working in a home-office based in Istanbul, but also remotely all around the world. We already have several projects blossoming such as Yawmme, Ejadjob, Beeild and Wajihat.
So yeah, I’m Syrian, I’m 21 and I’m UX\UI Designer & Co-founder of Liliom.
